Tyranex bildades 2005 och är ett kraftfullt och energiskt metalband från Sverige som hämtar sina influenser från den gyllene eran av 1980-talets thrash. TYRANEX är sant, old school, thrash/speed metal med attityd! Ritar lika mycket från dåtidens europeiska och amerikanska scener. Med intensiva riff och kraftfull kvinnlig huvudsång från den hyllade frontkvinnan Linnea Landstedt är bandet både klassiska och ändå individuella i stilen. Debutalbumet ”Extermination Has Begun” släpptes 2011 och ledde till internationellt erkännande med spelningar runt om i Europa. Uppföljaren ”Unable to tame” kom 2014 och satte ribban högre. 2017 släpptes ”Death Roll”, vildare och mer intensiv än tidigare men med mer utvecklad sång och låtskrivande. TYRANEX turnerade tills pandemin bröt ut och under denna tid etablerade sig bandet i Göteborg (SWE) med en ny line-up. Under de år de funnits har TYRANEX turnerat i Sverige, Finland, Tyskland, Nederländerna, Belgien, Spanien och Frankrike. De har också spelat på stora metalfestivaler som Metal Assault, Jalometalli, Steelfest, Taunus metal och Gefle Metal Festival

Formed in 2005, Tyranex is a powerful and energetic metal band from Sweden who take their influences from the golden era of 1980’s thrash. TYRANEX are true, old school, thrash/speed metal with attitude! Drawing equally from both the European and American scenes of the time. With intense riffs and powerful female lead vocals provided by acclaimed frontwoman Linnea Landstedt the band are both classic and yet individual in style.
The debut album ”Extermination Has Begun” was released in 2011 and led to international recognition with gigs around Europe. The follow-up ”Unable to tame” came in 2014 and set the bar higher. 2017 saw the release of ”Death Roll”, wilder and more intense than before but with more developed vocals and songwriting.
TYRANEX toured until the pandemic brolke out and during this time the band established themselves in Gothenburg (SWE) witha new line-up.
